This Chippy D shit got me thinking: if she ends up staying semi-important for 5 or more years, some kid who’s now in middle school is later gonna read her bio and see that she’s Laurence Fishburne’s daughter. And they’re gonna say, “who the FLUCK is Laurence Fishburne?!” And their friends will say “psshhh just some old-ass actor, my mom likes him.” Laurence-fucking-Fishburne! Will someday be “just some old-ass nigga, who cares who he is?”

You know what else? Kids right now have no idea who Allen Payne is. They have no idea about New Jack City. Wayne named his albums The Carter, and they think that is only a reference to his last name. They’ve never seen G-Money scream “am I, my brother’s keeper!!!!” And for that matter, never seen Charmaine crying over “Laaaaance” in tThe Cosby Show. Haha, they’re gonna be judging his career based off of House of Payne. That’s gotta suck, one bad decision, and unless he redeems himself, it’ll be all that young heads know about him.

So anyway, that’s my random thought for the past few days. Besides laughing at Chippy D’s over-moled rump, I have been working on music. Real life keeps trying to distract me, but I did get a song done. So check it out, and keep checking the site for more stupid thoughts and intelligent music.

I realized this weekend while chilling with Knowledge that I have yet to post this song up for you all to hear. The song is called "Do You." It's Featuring Feenicess and if you are familiar with his style and writing, I believe that you'll be surprised at the way he chose to approach the subject on this track.

It's a love hate relationship.

I don't have writers block any more and that's a relief but I'll be damned if I can't find the time to write nowadays lol. Family drama piling up on top of a work schedule and semi-demanding classes I guess. Through it all, I somehow still manage to be pretty productive.

Mixtape wise, I have come to a decision regarding "Gray-Def is my Mind-State" ...I was just going to rush it and get it out so that you all could enjoy some music and let that hold you until I start working on the second installment of "The Perseverance" series but after observing that cat Knowledge and how much work he's putting into his CD I have dismissed that idea. I do need product for the addicts but I do not need some watered down rushed ish so I'm kicking that mixtape to the side and just doing the second Perseverance. Everybody who talks to me about the series knows that my heart is in that way more than any other solo projects of mine so it seems like the right decision. Don't worry about not hearing any music from me though because I will put out a few of the tracks that didn't make it from the old mixtape that I was working on.

Now that that's out of the way. I would like to thank everyone for watching my video and giving me some feedback!!!

This is kind of a big deal...

So I spent New Years with my fam out in Philly…
The plan was to chill together and set the tone for 09 as two young, black, music executives and a successful, ill chick *shoulder shrugs* lol

After we drove done there, Knowledge took my chick and I into Center City and we partied at this small spot that blasted GOOD hip-hop music. It was MAD fun! I danced with this random chick who was looking bored because all of the guys were hitting on her friend. I tried to break dance (my up-rock is bonkers kid)! I spat game at this dude’s chick while he was trying to get at mine (I wasn’t trying to bag her so shush people daaag). We danced all crazy with a bunch of white people and used my black-burry’s GPS to find the spot where we parked lol…“good times were had by all” (Hey Knowledge! Gimme dat PHRASE FOOL dis a full-time JACK MOVE!)

I also realized that New Years is one of THE MOST opportune times to try and bag a chick…If you’re like me and know that you have personality out the ass and your fresh is ferocious but you’re mad shy when it comes to approaching a female and initiating conversation then continue to read this paragraph (otherwise, you can skip ahead) On New Years Eve the one thing that you can get away with is saying “Happy New Years” with a really excited tone. Usually the chickitie you have your eye on will respond back with the same level of excitement! Then you can take a few routes depending on your confidence, the chick and setting…you can ask her what is it that she wants the new year to bring her? You can initiate an exchange of actions between you and her that respectfully says “hey I wanna dance with you so what’s the deal ma?” You can also say something crazy like “now that the new year is finally here, I don’t feel too weird about these ‘I’m getting mine in 09’ boxers that I have on” lol…but make sure you have those boxers on to back up your word lol. As a matter of fact, don’t do the last one unless you have the wit and fresh to pull that off…(it will induce a smile or laugh out of a chick though ;-))

In the morning we woke up and recorded a song over a Nicolay beat and went grocery shopping…then Knowledge made New Years dinner: Greens (symbolizes paper money), black eyed peas (symbolizes coins/metal money), pork (that’s just for luck) and rice (symbolizes that we’ll do well with the chicketies lol syke nah…he just made rice because he felt it was needed) Then my chick and I made our way back to Jersey and I texted knowledge to tell him to have a slice of this cake he bought earlier so we could be “caking in 09” lol…I had a Little Debbie cake snack (that trick be getting it IN with the baked goods son)

Since New Years I’ve been pretty productive musically, I’ve recorded two tracks and had an artist (Mike da Mad Scientist) come through to my crib from NYC to record a few tracks for his mixtape he rocked over a few of my beats and did da damn thing. Now that that’s done, my music focus is back on the following (in order of project receiving top priority):

This weekend was pretty productive. My chick and I salvaged our relationship. It wasn’t nothing toooo crazy we just had one of our frequent “moments.” I don’t really think that’s a problem to experience turbulence in our relationship because we’re both stubborn, opinionated and have dominant personalities when you get to know us. The only difference iiiis I’m an Arteest and she’s…well...not lol.

I made two beats and recorded vocals over one of them. AND to top it all off, I spent most of the weekend on Twitter! Man I love that place…Here’s a brief summary of my Fraturday:

So on Friday it was snowing TOO hard to go to school. Let me tell you how this is supposed to go. The Dean told the students that when NYC public schools have cancellations or get out early then the late afternoon and evening classes are cancelled. I got off of work thinking that I would get to go straight home and chill for the rest of the night until something told me to call my school. Why is this Negro telling people to come to school in the middle of a SNOW STORM! I thought about it real hard and came to the conclusion that it’s best if I stay home because my car is not in the most ideal condition for snow and ice travel and I’m not that experienced of a driver to be trying to tackle such a journey by myself. The next day I got into it with my chick all because that heifer called Miscommunication…We’re cool now so I’m just waiting until we both have some free time so we can have that goooooood make up sizzex! Wizzord to ma bizzond (you ever see that one episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force with Emcee Pee-pants? “I got a strizoke in my brizane!” lmaaaaaao)…I also made a beat and recorded for the first time in my room. I got mad rust to shake off but the beat is pretty sick. I was in my room chopping up this Beethoven symphony like *in Kanyes voice* “If I could catch the beat and slow doooown the tempo…”

On Sunday I woke up and went in on the producer tip. I made another beat that took FOREVER for me to get a reasonable mix. After all of that, I watched MY GIANTS CATCH REP ON THE CAROLINA PANTHERS! Ward ran down Julius Peppers-and-nem throats! And YEAH we were experiencing some problems the first two quarters but YOU KNOW WHAT??? We worked through that and got our 1000 flushes on! (I’, yelling a-la Funk Master Flex) SO YOU CAN TELL ANYBODY THAT’S PLANNING ON GOING TO THE PLAYOFFS IN THE NFC! THAT IT’S DIARREAH SEASON IN GIANTS STADIUM BECAUSE WE GOT THAT NUMBER ONE SEED LOCKED DIZZOWN AND THE HOME-FIELD ADVANTAGE GAME IS ON POINT GAME TIGHT BIATCH! GET YOUR WET-WIPES READY! COURTESY FLUSHES FOR ALL THIS YEAR! TONY-BALOGNA-ROMO, FUCK EM! MCNABB, FUCK EM! CLINTON PORTIS, FUCK EM! DEANGELO HALL, FUCK EM! WE RUN THIS ISH FROM GOAL POST TO GOAL POST SO FALL DA EFFE BACK! AND SOMEONE CALL UP THAT CHOCOLATE CHICK THAT STAY AT RBW AND TELL HER WE SELLING PRIDE OVER HERE TWO-FOR-FIVE BECAUSE I KNOW SHE HAD TO SWALLOW HERS EFFIN WITH THEM DAMN COWBOYS!
